At this point, we will say these ahead:
●ASAP 20 should just let Luis Manzano host.
●Gerald Napoles is way up there when it comes to live comedy plus his singing voice.
●Sunday Pinasaya knows comedy better than ASAP 20.
Only a few Sundays passed yet many Filipino viewers are already talking about Rico Fabio, the role Gerald Napoles plays in the new and out-this-world Sunday noontime show of GMA Network called Sunday Pinasaya.
Who is Gerald Napoles?
His brand of comedy was discovered in the hit Pinoy musical Rak of Aegis. His character was well-loved by the people who have seen the musical.
He is good! So good that when he was tapped for the noontime show, it was like TAPE INC has just placed an A card on the deck.
Alas!
This to say that all other counterparts from the competitor are but copycats who seem literally copycats.
Admit it! Sunday Pinasaya made sure they knew their brand-- live musical comedy. ASAP 20, by putting Luis Manzano in the battlefield, is almost like committing suicide. They should really jusy stick to what they are so good at-- live musical variety show.

Enrique Gil & Maja Salvador's Twerk It Like Miley Prod Goes Viral
ABS-CBN knows how to make things viral. Make a production number that has appeal to the viewers, make sure it has been trensing in the past days before the prod, and post it on Youtube and wonders come instantly. The recent: Twerk It Like Miley lipsync production number featuring Enrique Gil and Maja Salvador.
In less than a week, this video has gained almost three million views on Youtube. That's gigantic especially when you compare it to any viral video from GMA Network's Youtube page which may have required months or a year for it to reach millions of views.

Why GMA Network should forget about Sunday Noontime Show
TV fans both Kapuso and Kapamilya are talking about Kyla and the artists who have transferred ahead of her. While the reputation of ASAP as Sunday noontime show is getting cemented as a strong force, GMA Network on the other hand is dying in this timeslot. So rather than pushing the network to beat it, our strong suggestion is to let go of it.
Our Proposal:
Remove Sunday All Stars because it's almost useless to have it at a 2pm timeslot.
Just keep showing movies at 12nn.
And here's the major change...
Produce a weekly variety show to feature major talents of GMA Network and air it Saturday nights-- the former timeslot of Marian.
Here's why Kapuso network should forget about beating ASAP:
*ASAP is already an institution. They have been there for 20 years. It's like Eat Bulaga-- unbeatable. So rather than competing with them, just showcase the talents on a different day and time that would still have a wide reach in viewership.
*Sobrang lugmok na pare. Not anymore Sobrang Ok Pare. So rather than trying to revive a hopeless case, just kill it already and start anew. Build a new habit in the viewership to watch a showcase of the network's talents in the evening slot.
*ASAP has more and more TALENTS now than ever. Needless to explain.
To GMA Network, a Saturday night live show would be better than a highly criticized competing show on a Sunday afternoon or noontime. So just forget about it if you haven't still come up with the most brilliant idea and strategy as to pulling it off.

Kyla Finally Takes a Career Shift via ABS-CBN
One of OPM icons Kyla is finally taking a big leap in her long yet steady career to break through to another level. She is leaving GMA Network to be part of ASAP in ABS-CBN.
"Hindi ko pa po alam exactly kung ano pa po ’yung mga gagawin ko doon, but I know for sure I’ll be on ‘ASAP.’”
We are not so into network transfers most of the time but Kyla's move is a wise one! She deserves a stage that she used to have back in the days of SOP. Because of the dying Sunday noontime life in GMA Network, her career also dipped down with it.
It's high time she gets a new platform to showcase what she has.
To GMA Network, that's what you get. People like Jay R and Kyla who had great OPM careers when they started with SOP deserve a bigger and better and stable stage. Kapuso network couldn't provide that to them.
To ASAP, wow! You have a bigger set of talented performers. Indeed, this show is an institution. One that the rival network will really have a hard time competing with.

What to Learn from Jed Madela's 'Monkey' Controversy
"Let us practice responsible journalism po sana." -Jed Madela
The story: he posted on Facebook about a bunch of monkeys. Got misinterpreted coz people thought he was talking about people from ASAP. Then when he cleared out that he was talking about some personnels in Cagayan De Oro airport, some locals wanted to ban him in the city. Full story at PEP.ph
In his interview with PEP.ph, he said that writers should practice responsible journalism.
Case In Point
The challenge is not just to the writers to practice responsible journalism. There is also a challenge to every human being to practice responsible usage of social media. Aside from that, a challenge to tame the tongue so as to model modesty and respect.
We Are For...
For this matter we would like to clarify that we are not against the very talented and the country's pride Jed Madela. Because with all due respect, it's not easy to handle people in the airport who would not treat you well while you're already stressed enough. And all you're thinking of is to get to your seat on the plane.Wednesday, June 4, 2014
