Aljur Abrenica and Rocco Nacino arr stars of the upcoming movie Mabalasik. A film that TV hasn't mentioned anything about ut yet. Will this be one that people will talk about or another film that seemed like it didn't exist at all?
If you remember right, Aljur was supposed to star alongside Alden Richards for Cain at Abel. The project from GMA Films was shelved when the controversy with Aljur against GMA Artist Center broke out.
Rocco Nacino, on the other hand, has starred in potentially good material movies but low promotion films that's why his name has not yet been remarkable in the silver screen.
This time, however, in a film title that sounds fierce and bold, we have yet to see how their names will pan out in the movie industry. If not, they will be part of the roster whose names got stuck on TV.
Aljur Abrenica is back home where he belongs. At least until 2017. And the return to GMA Network becomes official through Sunday All Stars this weekend. Before that, Aljur visited Kris Bernal on the set.
Their following as a tandem is still significant. And the management may have it playing in their minds of reuniting them back for a major project. This will only be promising given a good material.

GMA Network does not release its talents from their existing contracts without a valid cause or basis particularly if the reasons cited by its talents are not true. We will respond to the issue when we receive a copy of Aljur Abrenica’s complaint.
Meanwhile, Kapamilya-oriented website Push.com.ph did a survey on whether their readers want him in ABS-CBN or not and this has been the result so far.
If Aljur Abrenica were to decide well, he better decide on the camp of his home network. To transfer to a network with bigger stars would be to dive into an ocean where he's not meant to swim. He better become a better diver in his home ocean.
When Aljur Abrenica filed a petition to be released from his GMA Network contract yesterday, most people said 'all he has is a sexy body.' While the writer does not agree, The Outsider thinks this is the very reason why Abrenica has come to this point of his career when he needs to take a stand and demand for something meatier than just showing off his meat.
Thursday, he cries foul as his career, after long years of hardwork, still is stuck in his label as The Ultimate Hunk from Starstruck where he was launched into showbiz. For the many years he has been in showbiz, GMA Network has been successful in giving him the medals of his title. And so after many years, Aljur Abrenica is now considered that hunk in GMA Network, period!
Can anyone blame Abrenica if he comes to this point of wanting change?
Recently, GMA Artist Center actor gets a transformation in his religion which in turn would have transformed even his personal convictions. And with the personal faith that seeks to please God in all aspects, being that 'meat' that every viewer loves to devour in the sensual meaning of it may not be anymore pleasing to Abrenica.
Can anyone blame him if he wants a release from the contract that, to him, has no plans of putting his name in the acting legacy over the meat department?
In the end, all that Abrenica desires is a healthy conversation between him and the network. No plans to transfer to another network at all. Just a demand to be granted. And since it was not granted in a process that would have only involved him, his manager, and his network, he takes it to court to make it sound.
No one can blame him. All this man desires is a meatier career in the acting industry. One that would allow him to leave a mark as an artist not as one who takes off his shirt every now and then. No one can blame this guy if he wants a network who would support him to be the best in this field and not just be popular as one who boasts of his physique. Because more than his body, Abrenica, in his lens, may just want to be used as a talent since that's what he got into this business at the onset. Besides, if the earlier were really his plan, he could have just applied to be a member of Chippendales in USA.

Enrique Gil makes a comeback via MMK's Juan Ponce Enrile 2-part special tonight. This is his first MMK feature and his first drama project after being one of the lead stars in Princess & I. No doubt he can act. With a good fan base and enough exposure, Gil is certainly ready for this. But will he be able to give justice to the heroic life story of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile? We will find out tonight!

Aljur Abrenica does his first macho-dancer role as he portrays Kristoffer King in Magpakailanman's Bayarang Adonis episode. Although he's been in the industry quite longer than Gil, he has yet to show his worth in acting. It's not his fault though since the network has not given him a more challenging role until this one tonight. The last impressive acting stint he did was for Wish Ko Lang Primetime but it was too short. Will he be able to give justice to the compromising yet inspiring story of indie actor Kristoffer King? We'll find out tonight!

It's a battle to watch out for tonight! Who will win in the ratings both AGB Mega Manila and Kantar TNS?
First seen in StarStruck: The Next Level, Paolo Avelino started to captivate just some viewers' hearts with his simple but promising looks.
Because he didn't win in the said talent search, his entry to showbiz became slow but gradually rising. Despite getting good roles in GMA 7 soaps, he wasn't getting the best projects. The network that discovered him also saw his acting potential so he was cast alongside Aljur Abrenica but only second to the said actor. This despite the fact that he's way better than Abrenica in the acting department.
This may have been the reason why he had to take another route. As 2012 began to unfold, Paolo Avelino began to see the star that shines brighter to him, he saw how Star Magic and ABS-CBN make big stars. It may have been the star that struck him.
He began having shows in ABS-CBN when he transferred. But the most remarkable to date is Walang Hanggan. For Kapamilya viewers, he was a revelation. For Kapuso followers, most of them knew what he had. But they also knew that he only needed a much bigger break. One that GMA 7 wasn't able to offer him. Because of that, the rival network grabbed this opportunity.
In no time Paolo Avelino became a hit. Not because of his looks, not because of his physique, but mainly because of his acting.
This ought to be a wake up call to GMA 7 Artist Center and the network as a whole. Consider how Avelino was in his former network. And consider him now just months after transferring, his name is now parallel to Coco Martin. Although not as big as the latter, but acting-wise, he's there.
Could it be that he was a big regret for GMA 7 that they released him?
