Robert Ludlum the author and mastermind of the fast paced action packed thriller The Bourne Collection series lets the audience grab on tightly to their seat with every action scene. The story unfolds as Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) suffers from severe memory loss and tries to find out his true identity.
In getting to know more facts he
faces trouble from the CIA and local authorities. The adrenaline
rush alleviates with the movie’s parkour –inspired fight scenes,
the idea of real stunts with no special effects just makes the
experience surreal.
The movie series is definitely not
for the weak at heart, it definitely wants you to experience the
brutal life of an assassin. The emotions portrayed by each character
involved gives uncertainty on what the next move will the protagonist
make.
The film has shown realism on
conspiracy in the US government CIA department. As the film deepens
the mystery begins to unravel but never reveals the truth, keeping
the audience hooked to the outcome.
This film has put Matt Damon’s
career to another level in action films. He is not known for his
James Bond charisma or his Chuck Norris’ karate skills, but he puts
the A in Action Films. The A is defined as attention. By being as
human as possible Jason Bourne’s character really catches the
attention and emotion of the audience.
Doug Liman& Paul Greengrass has
done splendid work by not making the film a boring one. This is not
the typical spy-thriller film that deals with debate amongst
characters until the end. The key is to not make the audience take
their eyes & ears off the screen because every scene counts.

The fourth installation in the
Bourne Collection series in which Matt Damon chose not to participate
was a bit timid from its predecessors. It featured Jeremey Renner as
the replacement to Jason Bourne’s character but continued the plot.
A lot of the Bourne Collection fans were dismayed by Matt Damon’s
absence in the film.
Tony Gilroy, the director of the
fourth part of the Bourne Collection series has made a different
twist to the story yet acknowledging the previous plot of the Jason
Bourne story. This is kind of an innovative approach to the Bourne
Collection series as it takes place in Manila. It still adapts the
relentless action and mystery that keep you wanting to watch more.
Although the film is quite a bit short in story depth and thrills, it
is still a must watch and an addition to better understand the
relevance of the Bourne Collection story. This is one piece of the
puzzle you would want to have, the character still share the same
realism and charisma to all Bourne Collection series fans and action
film lovers. I will definitely purchase this series now that I am
intrigued with the development of the movie.
